2 hours 24 minutes

The goal was 2 hours 20 minutes, but I am content with 4 extra minutes. It was a great experience to run the race knowing that 100% of the proceeds went directly to Breast Cancer Research. Each runner wore a sign on her back to indicate who she was running for. It was amazing to see all the names on everyones shirts. My sign read, "I'm Running For... Mrs. Brunson. She is the pastor's wife of FBC Jax. She is a breast cancer survivor and it has touched many other people in her life. She was so thankful that I ran in her honor. That was the least I could do.
At about mile 9 I decided I was going to enjoy the journey and not be stressed about my time. I worked hard training, so why not enjoy the race and celebrate the fact that I have the health to be out there running. It easy to take our health for granted. God has convicted me that I am to take care of my body (His temple) and one way I do that is by running. Running is my way of saying, "thank You God for my health!"
Have a fun day! Run Happy!

Bring the Rain

What a week! Last Sunday morning about 6am Paul's mom called to let us know his sister Carol had passed away. We were in complete shock (and still are). Last week was a rough week and it all seems like a big blurr. However, what is so amazing to me is how God gives us EXACTLY what we need at the exact moment that we need it. His mercies are new every morning. Each day last week I found myself going to my to bible to find a verse to cling to for the week. I kept coming back to
Psalm 18:1-2
"I love you, O Lord, My Strength. The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; My God is my Rock in who I take refuge."

It is easy to talk about God's grace, but to experience that grace is pretty amazing. I am so thankful for friends who called, brought food, sent cards, offered words of encouragement and all the help with the kids. Thank you! Thank you!

If you are wondering about the title of this post, it is the title of a song by Mercy Me. Paul and I are big Bart Millard fans and we came across this song a few months ago. It is an awesome song and the words are so powerful.
Please keep us in your prayers. We have a lot of big decisions to make in the coming months.

I am ready for a new week!
Love you all!!!
