Not, a pool party
We attended a birthday party for a friend who was turning the big 5! It was held at the clubhouse of the neighborhood. They had it all set up with games, a bounce house and pizza. There just happened to be a pool near by. Too near by. Paul and I took turns running (literally) interferance to catch David. He was interested in one thing. THE POOL. We caught him most of the time, but we were not fast enough this time. He went right in, luckily it was the kiddie pool. We decided to let him enjoy himself before we pulled him out. Then it was scream fest IV.
It was NOT a pool party, but David made it one!

The Zoo
Nana & Papa graciously took all their sweet, precious grandchildren to the zoo. It was more like taking a zoo to the zoo. David was all about his papa. He did not want anything to do with anyone else. He LOVES his papa! Samuel was interested in the monkeys and the giraffes. Sarah Mae liked the snacks and the playground.

Vegas!
Paul and I were so blessed to get the opportunity to go on a REAL vacation. We have some really sweet (and fun) friends (that live in Dallas) that invited us to meet them out there. It was great to see them. We left early on Friday and came back Monday afternoon. Other than spending the entire day Friday in the Atlanta airport we had a great trip. We went non-stop while we were out there, trying to see as much as possible. We walked the strip, toured the hotels, ate some good food, walked some more, saw a funny comedy act (that was clean, praise the Lord), visited the Hoover Dam, said the word Dam the whole time we were there, and then walked some more. I LOVED how dry it was out there. No frizzy hair for me! My afro was quite tame. It honestly felt like a second honeymoon just being with that fabulous husband of mine!!

Gates & Locks
David Jasper is not even two yet! He started walking (running) at 9 months and we have been chasing him ever since. The first picture is what happens when we leave the gate to the kitchen open. He LOVES to get stuff out of the pantry. This time I think he was wanting to make pancakes. I walked into the kitchen and realized I had two options... 1.)scream and get mad or 2.) run and get the camera.
I chose option two.

so glad my fridge has a lock

Bible Man & Bible Girl
Samuel has recently become a fan of Bible Man. There are a series of videos that feature Bible Man as the hero against all the bad stuff (aka sin). The acting is completely cheesy and sometimes the bad guy looks a little creepy. However, the message on the videos is full of scripture and good lessons on letting your light shine for Jesus. I think the movies are more for kids a little older, but Samuel seems to get the message. He insisted that his sister get the Bible Girl mask and cape. We bought him a foam sword to go with the outfit. Samuel quickly told me that his sword is "the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God." So cute. At least the cheesy videos teach him to be a hero for God. :)

Washington Monument
Sarah Mae had to do a project on the Washington Monument. So, we all know that means mom and dad have to get creative and come up with something good. We actually had fun putting this together as a family. What I did not realize, this project was also a marriage building experience. Hello! My ideas and the husband's ideas do not always match up. It was a great challenge to work together and realize if the lines are not perfectly straight and the glue runs the world will not end.
My sweet girl did a great job presenting her facts and sharing all her knowledge of the Washington Monument.
Oh,and she got an A!!

presenting her facts...

just looking adorable!

Paw Paw
David Jasper LOVES his Paw Paw! He was named after his Paw Paw. My dad's name is Clarence Jasper. I remember when I called my dad from the hospital after David Jasper was born to tell him the name. I told him the name and then I couldn't hear anything on the other end of the phone. That is because my dad was so overwhelmed with emotion he could not speak. He had to call me back. How sweet is that! I am a daddy's girl, no doubt about it! I LOVE MY DADDY!!
David Jasper and Clarence Jasper had fun playing baseball in the backyard. I love these sweet memories.
